STUDENT LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT

At IB School, students are immersed in a plethora of opportunities to nurture their personal and professional leadership skills. From orchestrating workshops and assemblies to steering school tours and gaining international exposure, students actively engage in hands-on experiences that enhance their strategic thinking, decision-making, accountability, team building, and networking abilities.

Our unwavering commitment to student leadership development is geared towards equipping individuals with essential skills and experiences that will not only enrich their academic pursuits but also pave the way for success in their professional endeavours.

STUDENT COUNCIL

The Student Council helps students develop strong leadership skills and gives them a voice in the running of the school. Members are elected through fiercely contested elections and receive leadership training to help them lead student welfare. They work in conjunction with a Co-Council which draws students from Middle School. The Council reports regularly to the School Management team about issues relating to students.

INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL ASSOCIATION MEMBERSHIP

As a distinguished global member of the International School Association, IBS provides students with a gateway to a world of opportunities. Membership in this esteemed association opens doors for students to engage in conferences, student exchange programs, regional and international service projects, and exciting adventure trips.

Our primary objective is to foster the holistic development of each student through a diverse range of experiences encompassing academics, physical activities, cultural enrichment, and spiritual growth.

HOUSE LEADERSHIP AT IBS

At IBS, each student belongs to one of our four Houses, fostering a sense of belonging and camaraderie within our school community. Through a series of organised competitions, students have the opportunity to cultivate essential leadership and teamwork skills.

Furthermore, each House Leader holds a pivotal role as a member of the Student Council, and actively participates in the coordination and management of various school activities and competitions. This integrated approach not only promotes leadership development but also enhances the overall school experience for our students.

STUDENT BEHAVIOUR

At IB School, students are required to adhere to the behaviour policy outlined by the institution. We firmly believe that students flourish in an environment where expectations are transparent, positive behaviour is fostered, and the consequences of misconduct are clearly communicated to all.
